My Holiday Wishlist

Hello everyone,
I am sorry that I didn't put up a post yesterday. I arrived in Asia at around 4 am and slept half the day, then the evening was spent catching up with my family.
Well that is enough about me,
Here are a few things I hope to purchase while I'm away. They are in no particular order.

1. Sally Hansen, Hard As Nails Xtreme Wear in Fuchsia Power

2. Sally Hansen, No More Mistakes Clean-Up Pen

3. Sally Hansen, Kwik Off Nail Polish Remover

4. Revlon, ColorStay in Buttercup

5. China Glaze in Refresh-mint

6. OPI, Minnie Mouse Collection in The Color Of Mini

Thank you for reading, I am sorry I couldn't post pictures of each product, because I am on Blogger for Android and it seems to have a problem with them.
Please stay tuned for more polish-related, goodness!

NOTD #2

Hello everyone,
It's just a quick post from me toda, as I am doing some last minute things before I go on holiday later tonight. I have done my nails especially for the nice summery weather, I am going to be in.

On my fingers I am wearing BYS' Pink Panic, a really hot pink. I just thought it would be perfect for summery weather! Sorry if it's bad quality, it's from my sister's camera.

On my toes I am wearing Orly's Swizzle Stick. Unfortunatly, I couldn't take a photo because my feet were looking yellow and the colour wasn't showing up well.
However this is the colour. I got it from www.powderpuff.net . The swatch is accurate too.

Thank you for taking the time to read my posts,

Mini Orly Haul

Hello everyone,
I hope you are having a wonderful holiday. Yesterday, I was in Priceline and I nearly screamed with excitement because I saw they had an Orly stand! To top it off, they were on sale, 2 polishes for $5. I wish I could have bought more, but there were only a few different colours to choose from. After a lot of debate on which 2 to choose, I ended up walking out with Swizzle Stick and Strip Down.
I was even more impressed when I read that Orly is a "natural" nail polish company, I'm not sure what that means, but it sounds promising.

This is Swizzle Stick, a hot pink/fuchsia colour. It is meant to be a creme finish, but because I haven't tried it I can't be sure. (picture from www.pearlisque.com )

This is Strip Down, a shimmery, dusty pink colour. I have heard that this colour is a little sheer, but again I haven't tried it. (picture from www.nailiciousblog.blogspot.com )

I am sorry I didn't take any of the photos myself, my camera is packed away, ready for my holiday tomorrow!
Thanks for reading, if you would like a review of one of these comments, let me know.

Review: Ulta3 Mojito

Hello again guys,
Today I am doing a review on Ulta3's nail colour Mojito. To start off yes, I have re-used this picture from one of my previous posts, as I honestly don't have the time to go a re-photograph it. I bought this polish at BigW for $2.
First of all the name Mojito, when I bought this nail polish I had sort of guessed that a mojito was a type of drink. I just wasn't sure if it was a cocktail or an everyday beverage. Turns out it is a cocktail that has mint leaves and lime juice in it. I thought that the name was quite clever and I do enjoy saying "Mojito", it sounds so tropical!
There's nothing special about the packaging. It's just a cyllinder bottle, with an easy to hold lid. I am not inlove with the packaging, but it does the job and hey, this polish was only $2.
The colour of Mojito is what drew me to it. In the bottle I was hoping it would be a pastel green, rather than a turquoise-green colour. I was super disappointed, until I actually tried it on. I love that the colour is so loud and in-your-face.
A downside to this nail polish was the formula. It seemed really thick and gluggy in the bottle but then on the first coat, it was sheer! For the above photo I did have 3 coats on, but some were relatively thick. It also took a while to cover the streakiness of this polish. I waited for the first to be entirely dry, before I went on and did the others.
Overall, I did like this polish. The only thing that could have been better, was the formula. I does turn out a little bit darker than the above picture shows, but nothing too different. I also reccommend using a top coat with Mojito as I found it started to chip almost straight after it dried (be sure to wrap the tips with top coat too).
I hope you enjoyed this post,

The Nail Polish Tag

Hello again guys,
I am sorry I haven't posted in a few days. I have been struggling on what to do a post on. I really wanted to do this tag, but I was a bit put off because I did a similar tag last week. As I'm really stuck for ideas, this is all I have got for you for now. I do apologize if some of the questions are similar.

1. How many polishes do you have?
I have 60 polishes in my collection plus the 3 OPI mini makeover magic nail treatments, I talked about in my last post.

2. What is your favourite brand of nail polish?
OPI is probably my overall favourite brand so far.

3. Do you love crackle nail polish, or do you hate it?
I sort of have mixed feelings about them. I have tried the OPI shatter and it has worked well, but when I bought the BYS crackle polish, I wasn't such a fan. It really depends on the brand, but I do really like the look of crackle nail polish.

4. What was your first nail polish brand?
I'm not completely sure because I used all of my old nail polish, from when I was a little kid up, or thrown them out. I remember I owned a lot of un-named nail polishes, however the first real brand I can remember was Clinique.

5. If you were going to create a nail polish line, what would you name it?
I was actually thinking about this the other day, as cliche as it might be, I would call it "Get Nailed".

6. What nail polish colour does not compliment you?
Most dark nail polishes tend to look really bad with my skintone and I also tend to stay away from nudes as they make my hands appear yellow-ish sometimes.

7. What colour does compliment you?
Pinks, reds, blues and a small variety of purples and greens.

8. Name 2 of your best nail art friends.
Well, in the blogging community, I wouldn't really call them friends. I hardly know them.  I would have to say, Michelle from Eat Paint Sniff Glue and Caroline from Xofemmebeauty.

9. What was the best nail polish gift you have ever received?
Last year, for my birthday someone gave me a bunch of nail stickers and a 3-D nail art set, it also came with a holographic glitter polish and a really sheer, sparkly pink. I was totally wrapped.

10. Make a speech about the person who gave you this tag.
No one really "gave" me this tag, I just happened to come across it the other day on www.adoreabubbles.blogspot.com .

Thanks for reading guys, please comment ideas for my next post.

The Perfect Travel Companion

Hello guys,
Since the holidays have arrived, I thought I'd do a special travel edition post. I thought this would be a somewhat helpful post for holidayers (like me). As I was packing earlier today I remembered I had a travel nail polish set! I bought it at duty free for $20, which is a bargain for OPI in Australia.

This is the set I bought, only mine also came with a mini orange polish. Just to clarify, I didn't take this photo, it's from Allpolishedupnails. It comes with 3 mini polishes: Rapi-dry topcoat, Chip Skip and Nail Envy basecoat. It also comes with a 30ml Expert Touch nail polish remover AND a pack of pads for removing the polish. To top it all off, it comes in a silk, handbag-sized pouch, where everything has it's special place.
As you can see, each of the nail polishes have their own divided, section on one side, while the nail polish remover has a separate pouch on the other side. It also has room next to the nail polish remover for the removing pads and maybe even some extra room for one other nail polish of your choice! Once again, I didn't take this photo, it's from all-made-up-2, as I have packed this little "treasure" away in my suitcase.

Thanks for reading, commen tideas for my next post.

NOTD #1

Hello again guys,
Today I'm doing my first ever Nails Of The Day! I've seen this done on a tonne of different blogs but all are through out a whole week. I am sorry to say, I could only show you the polish I have worn for the weekend. Hope you enjoy.

This is Pink Friday by OPI, I wore this on Friday night and until Saturday afternoon. My nails are really short because I had to play netball, sorry.

Firstly, yes this is the same photo I used for my "small nail polish haul" swatch. I didn't see the point in going through the hastle of taking another picture of it, again. I am currently wearing this colour on my nails and have been since this afternoon. I don't think I will re-paint my nails until Monday.
